DryDay Privacy Policy

DryDay ("we," "our," or "the app") is a sobriety tracking application for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data Storage

DryDay stores all your personal data locally on your device. This includes:

• Your sobriety start date and goal
• Daily check-in entries (mood, craving level, notes)
• Craving log entries (intensity, triggers, notes)
• Journal entries
• Your reasons for quitting
• App preferences and settings

We do not have access to this data. It is never uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently deleted.

2. App Privacy Details (Apple App Store)

In accordance with Apple's App Privacy requirements:

The following data types are not collected by DryDay:

• Contact Info (name, email, phone)
• Health & Fitness
• Financial Info
• Location
• User Content (your journal entries, notes, and reasons stay on-device)
• Browsing History
• Search History
• Identifiers (no user ID, no account)
• Purchases
• Sensitive Info

3. Analytics

We use analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. This helps us improve the app. Analytics collects:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g., "app opened," "check-in completed," "craving logged")
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• General geographic region (country level)
• Session duration

Analytics does not collect:

• Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
• The content of your journal entries, notes, or reasons
• Your sobriety start date or streak length
• Your drinking baseline data

4. Crash Reporting

We collect anonymous crash reports to detect and fix app issues. When a crash occurs, the following is automatically collected:

• Device model and operating system version
• The technical state of the app at the time of the crash (stack trace)
• A random installation identifier

Crash reports do not contain any of your personal sobriety data.

5. Notifications

DryDay may send you local notifications (daily check-in reminders) if you grant permission. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

6. No Account Required

DryDay does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with Apple. There is no user registration.

7. No Advertising

DryDay does not display advertisements. We do not use the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers). We do not share any data with advertising networks.

8. No Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties, except for the anonymous analytics and crash reporting described above.

9. No Tracking

DryDay does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not participate in any cross-app tracking. The app does not request the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt because we do not track users.

10. Children's Privacy

DryDay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11. Data Deletion

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all data at any time by:

• Going to iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > DryDay > Delete App
• Long-pressing the app icon and selecting Remove App

12. Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all data
• Portability: Your data is stored locally and accessible on your device
• Opt-out of analytics: You can limit analytics via iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
