DryDay Privacy Policy

DryDay ("we," "our," or "the app") is a sobriety tracking application for Android. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data Storage

DryDay stores all your personal data locally on your device. This includes:

• Your sobriety start date and goal
• Daily check-in entries (mood, craving level, notes)
• Craving log entries (intensity, triggers, notes)
• Journal entries
• Your reasons for quitting
• App preferences and settings

We do not have access to this data. It is never uploaded to our servers. If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently deleted.

2. Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. This helps us improve the app. Firebase Analytics collects:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g., "app opened," "check-in completed," "craving logged")
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• General geographic region (country level)
• Session duration

Firebase Analytics does not collect:

• Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
• The content of your journal entries, notes, or reasons
• Your sobriety start date or streak length
• Your drinking baseline data

3. Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix app crashes. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics automatically collects:

• Device model and operating system version
• The technical state of the app at the time of the crash (stack trace)
• A random installation identifier

Crashlytics does not collect any of your personal sobriety data.

4. Performance Monitoring

We use Google Firebase Performance Monitoring to measure app startup time and screen rendering performance. This data is anonymous and aggregated.

5. Notifications

DryDay may send you local notifications (daily check-in reminders) if you enable them. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

6. No Account Required

DryDay does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in. There is no user registration.

7. No Advertising

DryDay does not display advertisements. We do not share any data with advertising networks.

8. No Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties, except for the anonymous analytics and crash reporting described above (via Firebase).

9. Children's Privacy

DryDay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Data Deletion

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all data at any time by:

• Going to Android Settings > Apps > DryDay > Storage > Clear Data
• Uninstalling the app

11. Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Deletion: Clear app data or uninstall to delete everything
• Portability: Your data is stored locally and accessible on your device
• Opt-out of analytics: You can disable analytics collection in your device's Google settings

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
